Having consolidated our place in the elite divisions of the All Ireland League, we plan to successfully compete again this season. We are delighted to welcome our new head coach Brian Walsh to the club. We are also delighted to retain ex head coach David O’Mahony who is coaching our U.20’s. Player recruitment has been very successful with 3 new Quercus scholarships being awarded to the rugby club.
To do this the club is very dependent on its members for support. In that regard we are trying to update our membership database with the aim of improving communications. We also plan to introduce a members page on the club website where members can contact one another. We have set ourselves a target to increase our membership by 100 members. To this end we have enclosed a membership brochure for you to recruit a new member.
We also plan to actively involve parents in the club. To this end Frank Slater has offered to assist.
The colours lunch is expected to be on Feb 17th so please keep this date free. We will be in touch in due course.
Other fund raising activities this year include:
- Dublin alumni lunch prior to an AIL fixture. (€4,000)
- Sell advertising signage around the pitch in the Mardyke (20 x €800)
- March sponsor for each of the 8 home games (8 x €1000)
